
Phil Henry is the founder and President of both Geoexchange Solutions, Inc., a heat pump industry consulting organization and web development firm WebSynergetics. He has a long and deep history in the heat pump industry with manufacturers such as Waterfurnace, HVAC contractors such as Brower Mechanical and construction companies such as Richmond American Homes. Over the course of his career, Phil has done everything from developing and managing national and regional sales channels to building data acquisition systems to designing, consulting and installing GHP systems as simple as those for a home and as complex as district systems for large scale commercial, residential and recreational developments.
Phil has long been in involved in web development and has played an active role in GHPC and GEO, developing geoexchange.org and the GHPNCS project website GHPNCS.org as well as IT systems to support the project. He maintains high-level connections with GHP manufacturers, associations and practitioners.

Dennis Murphy is a principal with Geoexchange Solutions, Inc. An MBA with 20 years of business operations, account, and service organization expertise in industries ranging from design to demolition, Dennis transitioned to geothermal business development with EGS technology pioneer Potter Drilling after a number of years of enterprise network consulting with the Network Technology Group, a Silicon Valley IT firm. Dennis later founded drilling technology startup GroundSource Geo, which won acclaim as the overall Clean Tech Open Sustainability Award winner.
Dennis is Principle Investigator of the recently released Project NegaTherm, a multi-faceted California Energy Commission study investigating the barriers to borehole drilling and ground source heat pump adoption within California. Negatherm documented and analyzed current regulation and certification requirements, surveyed California consumers, key stakeholders and drillers and makes a series of regulatory and legislative recommendations to help spur GHP adoption. He is active in public policy as the founding chair of the U.S. Green Building Council’s statewide California Advocacy Committee and a board member of USGBC’s Northern California Chapter. In addition to his involvement with Geoexchange Solutions, Dennis is part of the startup team at Seasonal Energy, which is commercializing smart thermosiphon array technology for scale cooling of data centers.
